Overview

The part-time Massage Therapist (MT) provides manual massage treatments using accepted certification standards; including Swedish, Sport, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Reflexology and other common massage techniques. Successfully promotes the Company to illicit friends/family referrals and return customers for massage therapy and physical therapy services. The MT educates customers about complementary clinic services in addition to relaxation, exercise, and body conditioning programs to enhance wellness. The MT coordinates with clinic ordering protocol for all massage therapy needs. Maintains massage therapy rooms in a neat, professional manner. Positively contributes to successful promotion of the massage therapy program, Responsible for cleaning of massage rooms and replacement of linens between appointments. Maintains records of customers, services performed, and fees charged. Understanding of legal issues related to massage i.e., HIPPA. The MT presents a professional, well groomed appearance and must work effectively with co-workers, patients and others. Accepts constructive criticism from others, keeps commitments, keeps others informed of any and all issues, addresses problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions. Embodies and exudes Company Mission, Purpose, and Core Values at all times.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Successful completion of a massage therapy course at an approved school or apprenticeship program.
  2. Valid State Massage Practitioner license.
  3. Verbal ability to facilitate communication with professional medical staff, clients, their families, and the public.
  4. Ability to foresee future problems or outcomes, develop treatment programs and execute them with maximal results.
  5. Observes phenomena precisely.
  6. Understands the scientific basis of techniques used.
  7. Acts in accordance with a well-developed sense of professional and ethical values.
  8. Curiosity and desire to analyze and solve client rehabilitation needs.
  9. Patience for client contact. Creates activities to stimulate client's desirable emotions.
  10. Able to work and reason independently, logically, impartially, and accurately.
  11. Able to initiate and maintain harmony in both inter- and intra- program relationships.
  12. Able to provide leadership and direction within his/her duties for the optimal functioning of the team.
