Overview

U.S. Physical Therapy, Inc. ("USPh"), which was founded in 1990, is a publicly held company which operates about 579+ outpatient physical and/or occupational therapy clinics in 41 states. The Company's clinics provide post-operative care for a variety of orthopedic-related disorders and sports-related injuries, rehabilitation of injured workers and preventative care.

 

We are searching for an individual who wants to join our exciting company as a  Sales Director of Operations for our East Region. We are looking for this individual to be based out of the Baltimore Maryland, PA or NJ territory close to a major airport. 

 

The Director of Operations Sales assists the VP of Operations and other members of the operations team as needed and directed. Help manage designated activities related to ongoing operations and development of clinic growth by performing the following duties:

 

  1. Volume Growth and Development:

 

Assists the facilities, either remotely or onsite, with volume development activities and analysis of current methods used to grow facilities referral base and visit volume. This includes onsite sales and marketing training of clinic directors and marketing directors, cold calling in physician offices with directors, and in-house weekend training seminars for clinic directors. The position requires one to analyze, implement and train on strategies designated to:

 

  • Impact visit and referral growth
  • Seek out business development opportunities
  • Enhance payor mix and improve net revenue
  • Improve clinic margins

 

  1. Supervision of Sales/Marketing Representatives:

 

  • Direct sales representatives in conjunction with partners/directors
  • Provide consistent communication with sales representatives
  • Conduct ride alongs, provide feedback, create goals for improved sales performance
  • Review and develop baselines for all regional sales representatives

 

 

  1. Management Support Including:
  • Marketing Action Plans
  • Clinic Hours of Operations
  • Conversion of Referrals to New Patients
  • Patient capture to improve visit per referral
  • Cancellation/No Show Action Plans
  • Patient Scheduling and billing methodology training
  • Operations problem solving and troubleshooting

 

  1. Operations Administrative Support:

 

Track, communicate and approve paperwork associated with new facility start up; personnel changes; merit bonus implementation, and other key items necessary in the operation of the facilities.

 

Qualifications and/or Experience Include:

 

  • Healthcare sales experience mandatory (5+ years minimum)
  • Sales Management Experience preferred
  • Strong Supervisory/Management Skills.
  • Business Operational experience a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, training skills, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to work late and travel several days/month.

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four year college or university
