    About the Position:

     

    We are looking to add an energetic, full-time Patient Mobility Partner to our growing Safe Patient Handling team at one of our well-known patient-care clients ideally located in San Francisco, CA. The Patient Mobility Partner supports clinical work flow by providing patient mobility assistance and training to nurses and other care personnel. Through the use of proper ergonomics and mobility equipment, this position is responsible for mobilizing patients in accordance with the nurse’s mobility care plan. This position allows for a regular Saturday-Wednesday schedule between the times of 9a-5:30pm.     Primary Duties:

    1. Functions as a member of a patient mobility team to support the mobility of clinically complex patients requiring mobility assistance
    2. Operates specialized patient handling equipment, transfer devices, and protective equipment in compliance with hospital/clinic policies, vendor specifications, and patient handling and transporting protocols
    3. Collaborates with the nursing/patient care services team to lower critical incidents and risk factors through problem solving and coaching
    4. Recognizes needs and concerns of patients, co-workers, and physicians while maintaining positive working relationships
    5. Demonstrates sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities in area of safe patient handling
    6. Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to provide culturally sensitive care and/or service

    Position Requirements:

    1. High School Diploma or GED
    2. Ability to self-start on tasks as they arise 
    3. Experience and comfort with educating small to medium size groups
    4. Ability to communicate effectively in person, via video skype, and in writing
    5. Strong organizational and time management skills along with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
    6. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

    Preferred Qualifications:

    1. Experience in proper lifting mechanics and ergonomics
    2. Experience working with safe patient handling equipment
    3. Associates or higher in a medical discipline or related field (Athletic Training, Certified Nursing Assistant, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, etc)
    4. Experience as a rehabilitation services aid

     

     Starting Salary range: $20-$25 per hour
